What?! No more cookies?!

Luckily, I still have the key to the Infinite Cookie Storage Vault located in hyperspace. I'll just check on it and...

...

... They're GONE!!! All the cookies are GONE! Who could have eaten an infinite number of cookies?! How... Agh! Do you know how long it took to BAKE all of those?!

*sighs, rolls up sleeves and gets ready to start baking again*

Hi, Kozza!
In Lucky, the main thing we care about is a lack of drama, so I don't think it's a big deal if you have multiple shells (at least, not to me)

Nice to meet you :)

General Posts / The Guild

This probably will be old news to a lot of people, but I just recently found this web series, and I like it a lot! It's called The Guild, and it's about a bunch of people who play a generic MMO (which is never shown on screen). All of these folks are various types of social misfits, and I find the humor in it to be pretty funny :)

I only found out about it because they have a music video that they produced, which a friend just recently forwarded to me  ;D

Large amounts of cheese and MMO-based humor to come! (my favorite line so far: "I was pinned down! First I had husband aggro, and then I had baby DPS!"  :D)

Like I said, this is probably old news to a lot of you, this has been out for a while, but I didn't notice it because I was too busy chasing those darned kids off my lawn  >:(

I'll go, but only as a tarutaru... I don't have any jobs under ten, and precious few under 15 ^^;;
So, it's Minjiji, Noogies, or Rapscallion. Or Rowsdower (I keep forgetting I made him O_o!)

Wow... for an Alpha, that's incredibly good. I like that it's not instanced! And it seems like we will have a wider array of emotes to use  ;D

I'll definitely be playing this, and I've signed up to try to get into the beta. I think I'll have to drop Noogies, though, in order to be able to afford playing both this and FFXI. We'll see how the billing works...

I was reading a little bit about Guildleves, and I'm a bit concerned about that. It sounds a LOT like Moblin Maze Mongers (which isn't a bad thing), but it seems like that is primarily how you quest/do missions and possibly gain XP. What I'm concerned about is that it sounds like it might be instanced, like Guild Wars.

While I don't have anything against instancing in general (it's great for what FFXI uses it for), if it takes over too much of the world, then it's not really an MMO in my book. If the only place you can really interact with people who aren't in your party is in town, then I think the whole experience loses something.

So, in my opinion:
Occasional, instanced battlefield and the like: Good
EVERYTHING instanced outside of town: Bad

I'm excited to try it out, and it sounds awesome for casual play, but so far, I haven't read anything that would make me stop playing FFXI in favor of this. I'm really hoping that there's some more flexible payment options, so I can pay only for the time I'm on, since I plan on playing both :)

Still, the screenshots I've seen are  just incredible!

They kind of snuck this under the radar, but here is the link:

Changes to PlayOnline Member Agreement

Basically, what this seems to boil down to is: In order to change your credit card information (if your card expires, for example), or to make a purchase (like, for the next mini-expansion, or for a new content ID) you will need to use this "Secure 3-D" thing, with a verified card. If you currently have a non-supported card, or don't activate this Secure 3-D, it will still work... for now. You just won't be able to update or purchase anything until you get it secured.

I don't know that for sure, that's just what I've been able to gather so far. I really wish SE explained it better. Actually, I really wish they hadn't made this change in the first place. They're probably doing this because people were charging stuff like server transfers after hacking people's accounts.

The various FFXI forums seem to be exploding over this. It's hard to say if people are over-reacting or not. I guess we'll have to see how it all pans out.

There are rumors that people with multiple accounts on the same card may end up getting banned because of this... I have no idea if that's true or not, it would be really stupid of SE to do that. But if I vanish briefly after the first, that would probably be why ^^;;

That's not something I would have tried myself, I think, but it's fun to watch :)
If I had been in the audience, I would have been laughing myself sick  :D

We were talking about that a little last night after you left, and I think the general consensus was that the occasional death in Royal Ramble is worth it for 270k+ per run. I'm definitely down for any number of runs you guys want to do, like I said, I still have enough for 42 more runs of that  ;D

I think we're getting that one down, though. I'm pretty sure that, once we do a couple more runs, we'll be able to get through it with only the very rare death.

What, your own babies aren't enough, you need more?!

Greedy...

;D

Oooh, I was in Tahrongi last night leveling my Dark Knight. I'll be on this evening, and if I see you out there, I'll get you both a pearl :)

I'm a bigger nerd than both of you multiplied by each other, then SQUARED! :D

I also have no objections :)

I had a thought tonight about our Tuesday night runs. With Ariamo doing Limbus, we get started a bit late to do anything after Assaults, which is why I think we should try something like this:

While Ariamo is in Limbus, the rest of us grab an orb and a random 6th person out of the shell. We do the KS of our choice, and when Ariamo gets done, he grabs an orb and joins us. Hopefully, all the rest of us will have our runs done by that time, so we only need the time it takes to do one run with Ariamo. Then we go off and do our Assault runs.

The way I envision this working, we can get a full set of KS runs done (plus one for a linkshell member that's not in the static) and still have time for three runs of Golden Salvage or sheep or something.

What do you guys think? I know I wouldn't mind getting some cash from KS :)
