There was an epic battle against Khimaira 14X the other day. We had him on the ropes until he pulled out Fulmination at less that 1%, causing a near-wipe (I still had RR on). I raised up, cast shadows, and started fighting again, hoping desperately to be able to kill him off.
I was able to get in one recast of Utsusemi during this battle, but I still had 20 seconds on my other timer when he took my last shadow off. I was one good, solid hit away from death... I did the only thing I could think of: Mijin Gakure!
It was a success! It did just enough damage to take down the Khimaira!
Sadly... nobody had Reraise on ^^;

You guys did great keeping us healed up. That Khimaira is just a pain, is all
It's more like I'm kinda not the best tank there is, though I think I've gotten a lot better since we first started doing Assaults :)
Just to update this, we finally beat him.. we had some mass death towards the tail end and I had to Chainspell tank the last 5% or so.. But we managed.
That last Fulmination got me... I just couldn't get shadows up before getting splattered.
This time, though, I used my instant reraise scroll, and was all set with the Mijin Gakure, if needed. We didn't need it this time, though :)

Now I just need to stop getting killed by that danged Black Shuck. I think the longest I lived was about 3 minutes into the fight, which was about 5% of his health... :-\
...and Black Shuck is down! I repeat, Black Shuck is down! We polished him off on our second try last night! :D
Now we just need to mop up King Goldemar, and we're done :o
We have four tags. We have one opponent. Things aren't looking good for ol' King Goldemar ;D
Three tries, it took. He almost got us, but Areya's Fenrir and some fancy footwork from the rest of the party saved us! (I was dead almost the whole end of the fight :-[ )
Anyway... that means Captain's rank for us all!
