Alright, to start off the wave of linkshell events, I am planning a Brenner reservation for Sunday afternoon, most likely on the 1 PST slot.  All members are encouraged to attend, even if you don't feel like playing, you can watch!  Pics will likely be taking afterward as well.

Status ailments never work against the foes you need it to the most, but even a weak mage's sleep will land more often than not.

Normal charmed mobs don't cause an exp penalty unless they're higher than EM.  This eliminates the need to Leave before you WS to finish a mob.

At level 45 (I think) you get an ability caused Snarl, which transfers all your hate to a jug pet.  This only works on jug pets, and has a 30 sec reuse timer.

The Stay command acts as /heal for pets.  They'll start recovering HP, and will increase more per tick the longer you keep them Stayed.

A great strategy when fighting with a jug pet familiar..  WS then Snarl.

Another great use for Snarl is as a panic button when your target is not quite dead.  Quickly call a defensive jug (Courier Carrie is a great choice) and snarl to save your skin while you either look for another charm, or simply finish off the mob if it's weak enough.

Remember that Snarl doesn't work for normal charmed pets!

Even though there's no need to save your WS for finishing a mob, it's still a good idea not to go as soon as you have 100 tp because it can cause hate issues.

The healing quality of Stay can be used to keep pets charmed by Familiar around longer.  Use it in conjunction with Pet Food.  Note that Leave + the mob's natural regen is probably faster, so Stay is best used if you've dragged a pet a fair distance away, or if it's a camp where it's difficult to find EM.

When participating in Besieged or Campaign, bear in mind that any jug pet you have out beforehand will disappear.  Also the AI seems to like targeting pets.

You don't need the expansion to log on once per month and just sit in town chatting to people.

I don't think anyone has objections.  Mostly we just get objections if it's someone who has a history on the server of undesirable behavior, or maybe they're just rude or such.

Since you haven't played in ages and didn't level very high I seriously doubt that's an issue.

Just poke a sackholder for a pearl.  Ryudei, Sheilah, Ketsuki, Zerila, or myself are all good candidates.  Although Ketsuki is afk an awful lot....

Most of the time I didn't bother with CHR gear at all on BST, with full AF and Apollo's it just didn't make a significant difference.  On RDM/BST, BRD/BST, WHM/BST, or BLU/BST, I usually pack my Star Necklace and Jester's Cape, but I just left them on anyways...

Is that public or private?  I think public schools are required in this state to not go on Veteran's Day, I'm not sure if it applies to all states however.

That's an awful long time without a break.  I know schools that go year-round do like 8-9 weeks then 2-3 weeks off, or something similar.

Yeah I know I had to change my battle gear for BST into two different macros to fit in all my gear swaps..  one for the armors and one for the weapon/shield.  I swapped headgear, body, hands, legs, feet, weapon, and shield, for a total of seven swaps, so I split it into 5-2.  Ten line macros would be useful.

Honestly, I'm surprised there's even stuff about our LS..  We're not all that large and lately not even that active, but we attempt to be friendly and/or entertaining.

As for Cooking, I'm a 97.0 + 1 cook at the moment, which I think is the highest on the shell at the moment..  I know Pyo had 100 but he isn't around..  I think the other 100s are gone too.

As for answering questions, if you do join the shell, you'll find out in a hurry that I'm fairly knowledgable about the game..  Not perfect, but I try.

For some reason, this kind of strategy is something I think Eva would do.     It seems like his style.

On a side note, these speed run guys beat the entire game in like eight hours.  Crazy.  Some of their other strategies are pretty evil too.  (For example, the Deathblow-Added Cut combo with Tifa using Powersoul - yellow HP [x2 for Powersoul] - Death Sentence [another x2 for Powersoul] for crazy damage.)

Suffice to say, my macro room problems may finally be over...
